Where faith, connection, and community meet.
Do you travel for work? Visit children in faraway places? Or maybe you just give your kids a Sunday off to enjoy brunch together without children?
If you answered yes to any of these, the Cokesbury Class might be just what you're looking for.
Over the years, our class has developed a system to help people like you stay engaged and connected, no matter where life takes you. Like many other classes at West End, we use Zoom to connect those who can’t attend in person to our Sunday morning sessions. And if you’re away and can’t join live, we offer a video recap so you can catch up when it’s convenient for you.
In addition, we send out a weekly email to subscribers that includes:
Reflective thoughts on the current topic
A preview of the upcoming class
The name of the week’s discussion leader
This means you can miss a few classes in a multi-week series and still feel connected and up to date when you return.
What do we Study
Great question! In recent years, we’ve welcomed a variety of guest speakers who return regularly to help us explore diverse topics. Between those visits, we’re fortunate to have speakers from within our class and generous teachers from the broader West End community.
Through this variety, we blend the sacred and the secular, helping us discover God’s voice in both ordinary and unexpected places.
More Than Just a Class
Faith is more than learning and discussion — and we believe in living that out.
At Cokesbury, we nurture our small community by noticing when someone is absent and reaching out to check in. When someone is in need, we show up. As Christians, we believe it’s essential to care for one another.
We also build community through social gatherings, where we deepen our relationships beyond Sunday mornings. And perhaps most importantly, we explore faith openly and thoughtfully — without judgment.
